Darlene Frances Robertson

Darlene Frances Robertson finished her journey to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at the age of 77. She was surrounded by family and friends who had been comforting her during her illness. Her health had been deteriorating since her heart surgery in 2020. Darlene was born on May 14th, 1946 to Myre Gladys Marshall and William Irvin Robertson, who preceded her in death, along with her paternal and maternal grandparents. She was also preceded in death by a very special step-father, Luther “Sonny” Blackwell. Surviving is her sister, Wanda Fullan and nephews, Steven, Mason and Adam Bryant. She is also survived by a special friend, Wilma Montgomery. Her working career spanned many jobs from Morton Foods, to the city of Waynesboro. She retired from E.I. Dupont where she worked as a guard. Darlene loved doing for others. For many years, she and her friend Wilma went to various nursing facilities where they shared the Lord’s Word and music with the residents. Visiting the residents and singing for them was her greatest joy. Per her wishes, a Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, April 25th, at 2:00 P.M. at Augusta Memorial Park with Pastor Dennis Bradley officiating. Casual dress of jeans, shorts and tees are requested. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity is what Darlene requested.
