Darrin Wright Butler

Darrin was born on October 17, 1976 in Oneida, New York. He graduated from Chittenango High School and earned a BA in Communications from SUNY Fredonia. In his high school and college years Darrin enjoyed playing football and basketball, listening to music, and spending time with friends. He passionately rooted for his favorite teams Syracuse Orange, New York Yankees, and the Chicago Bears.

Darrin loved spending time with his daughters, playing with his dogs, listening to celtic music, and staying active at the gym. He also enjoyed trying new breweries, visiting family around Syracuse, NY, and traveling. His favorite vacation was a trip to Ireland to visit the Kilkenny Castle which has ties to his family name.

Darrin is survived by his wife of eight years Alexis (Shetler) Butler and their two adoring daughters Imogene Grace, 4, and Esme Elizabeth, 1. In addition, he is survived by his loving mother Rita (Parkhurst) Butler-Halley, step-father Paul Halley; brother William Butler, sister-in-law Lori Butler; nephew Tim Butler; uncle Dale Parkhurst; aunt Florence LaRock; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends and family. Darrin is predeceased by father Donald William Butler, 66.

Family and friends have gathered privately to celebrate Darrin's life.
