Mrs. Barnes was born on July 6, 1933 in Jamestown, NY and was a daughter of the late James and Esther Lamb. After graduating from college, Mrs. Barnes worked as an office administrator for a dental practice.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Eugene Leslie Barnes.
Mrs. Barnes is survived by her children, James L. Barnes and wife Patty of Charlottesville, Douglas E. Barnes of Stuarts Draft, Laurie Rhoades and husband Kenneth of Stuarts Draft; a special grandson, Matthew Johnston; and a sister, Barbara Burris and husband John of Jamestown, NY.
All services will be held privately and at a later date.
