

She was born on September 6, 1937, a daughter of the late John Waren and Ida Teresa (McNamara) Ludwig.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Rowe; siblings, Johnny Ludwig and Ida Sliva.
Doris enjoyed crocheting, gardening, canning, camping and family gatherings.
Survivors include her children, Earl “Peanut” Rowe and wife, Tammy of Jennings Gap, David “Crockett” Rowe of Craigsville, Henry Rowe of Craigsville, Mike Rowe of Craigsville, Teresa Rowe of Clifton Forge, George Rowe and wife, Yvonne of Staunton, Martha Sanchez and husband, Lee of Waynesboro; sisters, Betty Owens, Helen Sapp; brother, George Ludwig; 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She also leaves a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Lebanon Presbyterian Church, Goshen, with Pastor Linwood Wilks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be David Rowe, Randall Rowe, Bill Rowe, Shane Lilley, Frankie Shiflett, and Larry Byram.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro, Va.
