

Born October 8, 1930 in Grottoes, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Cora (Grimm) Bowen. She lived in the Grottoes area most of her life until she moved to the Stuarts Draft area in 1995.
She was employed as a weaver at Cromptons where she worked for 23 faithful years. Later in life, she worked at the District Home until her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Frazier who died in 1975; daughter, Dottie Taylor who died in 2003; grandson, Jason Gibson (1974-1977); brothers, Robert Bowen, Jr. and Earl Bowen; sister, Violet Frazier.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Susan Gibson and husband, Larry; son-in-law, Rodney Taylor; grandchildren, Michelle Powers and husband, Rob, Amber Creedle and husband, “Bubba” and Chastity Frazier and husband, Vern; great-grandchildren, Tyler Morris, Logan Balsley, English Creedle, Zach Frazier, Tristan Creedle, Aspen Creedle and Reagan Powers; sisters, Ruby Ward, Anna Hyden and husband, Kenneth and Rosie Tidd; beloved dog, China.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, with Pastor William “Bubba” Creedle officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the funeral home.
The family requests that those family members who wish to send flowers may do so and that close friends of the family may make donations in Dorothy’s memory to Harvest City Worship Center, 2260 Jefferson Highway, Fishersville, VA 22939.
