Dorothy L Brown

Dorothy was born May 29,1927, in Montgomery, North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Walter Thomas Ratliff and Willie Diggs. Dorothy retired from the former Holiday Inn on Afton Mountain.

On December 24, 1960, Dorothy married Clyde Brown who preceded her in death on January 20, 1962. In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Brown was also preceded in death by four sisters: Margaret Ratliff-Terry, Lucille Ratliff-Lucas, Walena Ratliff and Claudia Ratliff. Six brothers: Walter, Jr., Melvin, Graham Stephen, Raphael, C.R. Lee and Cecil Ratliff.

Those left to cherish her memory include her last surviving sibling, Willie Pearl Ratliff- Williams of San Francisco, California, special devoted nephew Andrew Ratliff and special devoted great-niece Ashley Ratliff and many other nieces, nephews and other family members.

There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
