Dorothy "Moses" Conner

Dorothy “Moses” Conner, 94, passed away at Avante Nursing Home of Waynesboro on Wednesday, July 30, 2014. She was born on January 13, 1920 in Augusta County, to the late James Arnold and Annie Elizabeth Moses.

Dorothy was a member of the Smyrna Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro where she was active for many years, and the President of D.M. Conner Inc. Sand and Gravel.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Dewey Conner and a brother Arnold Moses.

She is survived by two sons Fred and Sharon Conner of Stuarts Draft, Benny Conner of Waynesboro, one daughter Debbie Henderson of Waynesboro, three sisters Fleecie Dahl of Wilmington, De., Lucille Charles of Richmond, Va. and Mary Wampler of Crimora,Va. ten grandchildren; Lori, Barry, Garry, Chris and Missy, Erica and Shaun, Katie and Robbie, Kelly, Nissa, Heather and Justin, Hailey ,eight great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends, Sunday August 3, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes Chapel in Waynesboro at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at the Augusta Memorial Park of Waynesboro.
