Elwood Ray Baugher

He was born August 20, 1926 in Shenandoah, the son of the late Ernest T. and Beulah Rucker Baugher.

He was a United States Navy Veteran and retired from DuPont after 35 years of service.

He was a member of Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren where he held many offices and taught Sunday School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred I. Baugher, and a son, Richard Wayne Baugher.

Survivors include two daughters, Ellen Baugher Zimmer and her companion Wade Seal of Elkton, Joyce Baugher McDonaldson and husband Richard of Grottoes, five grandchildren; Sonya Stroop, Pamela Dennison, Brian McDonaldson, Christi Marion, Shannon Tomlin and 12 great-grandchildren.

A service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday May 22, 2014 at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren with the Pastor Janet Elsea officiating.

Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park with military rites provided by American Legion Post 340.

Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Daltry, Harold Wimer, Jeff Wimer, Greg Graber, Charles Pace, Cecil Lawson and Joe Sullivan.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 PM today, Wednesday May 21, 2014 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
