

Mr. Brown was born on April 15, 1949 in Waynesboro, and was a son of the late Emil Anthony and Hazel Margaret (Craft) Brown. Butch worked as a welder and metal fabricator for many years. He was previously employed with Brown and Root for 18 years, and was a faithful employee of Industrial Fabricators for the last 27 years. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially riding 4-Wheelers and hunting. He also enjoyed having cookouts with his family. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was known as a workaholic, and was always willing to teach a co-worker. Mr. Brown also enjoyed all types of racing. He helped build and fabricate several race cars. Butch loved riding in his Corvette.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Brown.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Brown is survived by a daughter, Cherri Cole and husband Jimmy of Waynesboro; siblings, Gloria Ashby and husband W.C. of Waynesboro, Timmy Brown and wife Alice of Mt. Sidney, Paula Lowry and husband George of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Ashley Simpson and Michael, Michael Brown II, and wife Cheyenne, Mason Simmons, Jordyn Maybush and husband Damon; special great-granddaughter, Miranda McCrary; great-grandchildren, Dallas and Tyson Maybush; several nieces and nephews; many special friends and co-workers who will miss him greatly; and the owners of Industrial Fabricators, Scott and Teresa Childress. He is also survived by a daughter in law Julie Brown; and a brother in law, Lewis Hudson.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Lee Brown, Sr.; siblings, Anthony L. Brown and Teresa Hudson.
Following his wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
