

Erma Hundley Johnson, 85, of Dogwood Circle, Waynesboro, passed away Sunday evening, June 10, 2012 at her residence.
She was born June 12, 1926 in Snow Creek, Virginia a daughter of the late George and Sally Bausman Hundley.
She was a charter member of the Wayne Hills Baptist Church where she served on numerous committees.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Warren Wesley Johnson, Sr. and 11 siblings.
Survivors include her children, Warren “Rusty” Johnson, Jr. and wife Judy, Donald W. Johnson and wife Teresa, Dianna Johnson-Dale and husband Jerry and Virgil C. Johnson all of Waynesboro, Kirk Johnson and John E. Johnson of Florida, as well as siblings, Nellie Minter and Cecelia “Tee” Hundley both of Martinsville and Walter Hundley of Texas.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Edward Avenue Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Danny Campbell and Mike Beverly. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Bud Hammond, Wayne Yates, Bill Waggy, Brad Jackson, Sam Flory and grandson, Tony Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 7-9:00 PM Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
