She was born September 12, 1941, a daughter of the late Lee N. and Holly M. (Yount) Brown.
Evelyn was a homemaker and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Her passion in life was the love for family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death of by her husband of 56 years, James H. Lowry, Sr. and a daughter, Sharon Lowry.
Survivors include two sons, James H. Lowry, Jr and wife Debbie, Bobby L. Lowry and wife Rosie; daughter, Becky M. Conklin and husband Don; 8 grandchildren, Chad Lowry, Brittany Durie, Ronnie Brown, Jr., Jimmy Lowry, III, T.J. Charlton, D.J. Conklin, Amber Lowry, Cortney Lowry, as well as numerous great-grandchildren that she thought the world of.
Following cremation a private family service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory.
