Harry Randolph "Randy" Moomau

Harry Randolph “Randy” Moomau, 92, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at his residence. He was born on August 14, 1927, a son of the late Fred Lambert and Mary Bruce (Randolph) Moomau.

Randy proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as an electrician at American Safety Razor until his retirement. Randy was a devout Christian and greatly enjoyed carpentry, gardening, long country rides and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Moomau; son, Dean Moomau and siblings, Jack Moomau, Mary B. Carroll and Margaret “Peggy” Davis.

Survivors include his daughters: Dorita Edwards and husband, Steve, Gale Davis and husband, Elvin and Linda Brown and husband, Steve; grandchildren: Jesse Jackson, who was his caregiver in his last days, Derek Edwards and wife, Whitney Freeman, Whitney Lynn Edwards, Ashley Brown and Steven Dean Brown and wife, Becky; great grandchildren Zion and Iyana Jackson and Georgia Mae Brown; cousin, Treva Bradley and husband, Cork; special friend Shasta Reeves, as well as extended family and friends.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a private graveside service will be conducted at Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 11am.

Randy had a big heart for animals. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local SPCA.
