Helen was born in Augusta County to Violet Meek and Robert M. Meek on August 2nd, 1937. After High School, Helen worked at Klann Organ, spent many years with Crompton as a secretary, and worked in the cafeteria of Kate Collins Middle School, where she positively impacted the lives of countless students. She was a longtime member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church and stayed very active in the church until her health deteriorated.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Emmett “Sonny” Kerby Jr; and a son-in-law, Tim A. Meadows.
