James Arthur Moyer, 70, of 513 East Main Street, died Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Rockingham Sentara Hospital in Harrisonburg.He was born January 26, 1945 a son of the late Charles F. and Dorothy Kite Moyer.He was a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School, a veteran of the United States Navy where he continued his service with the Naval Reserves and was a retired truck driver.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Renee Moyer Johnson.Survivors include his children, Pamela J. Moyer Chaback of Waynesboro, Kimberly R. Moyer Crook of Rocky Mt., Nicole L. Moyer Sparks of Waynesboro, Jamie A. Moyer of Staunton, Charles S. Moyer of Craigsville, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Following cremation a memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes by Pastor John Hamric.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.Military rites will be provided by American Legion Post 340.Family and friends are invited to share a memory, send condolences and sign the guest book by visiting www.reynoldshamrickfuneralhomes.com
