Janet Gail Bean

Janet was born in Waynesboro, VA, to Ethel I. Collins and Charles Wilford Collins on February 9th, 1952. Janet worked for Augusta Health for over 40 years, retiring as a Medical Transcriptionist. In her younger days, Janet loved to travel, taking her family to many places. Recently she has enjoyed spending time on social media and watching her favorite show, Heartland.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harvey M. Bean.

Janet is survived by her children, Aiden Kirchner of Waynesboro, Donica Sluss and husband Michael of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren Kaylee and Colton; and a brother, Larry Collins. She is also survived by a large extended family and numerous brothers and sisters from the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Augusta Memorial Park, with Leo Cormier officiating.
