Jenny Yancey Alexander

Jennifer M. “Jenny” (Yancey) Alexander, 30, was born February 4, 1985 and left this life unexpectedly on Sunday, December 20, 2015. Covered in tattoos, prone to bursts of silly singing and dancing, with a laugh that could stop time, she leaves us with so many memories and hearts that are broken.

She was greeted by her grandparents, Jean and Lewis Yancey, who preceded her in this journey. She leaves behind her “loves”, son, Dylan and daughters, Raya and Emma. They were her life, her total existence. She is survived by her parents, LW and Terri Yancey of Waynesboro; maternal grandparents, Don and Babs Fickes of Palmyra; brother and sisters, Rachael (Marshall) Coleman, Scott (Tammy) Yancey, Laura Wyrick, Katie (Tim) Campbell, and Kristen (Cody) Clark. She also leaves behind twelve nieces and nephews, Jacob Wyrick, Noah Wyrick, Luca Campbell, Maya Wyrick, Toby Campbell, Finn Campbell, Maggie Coleman, Sage Campbell, Zoie Yancey, Lucy Clark, Kate Alexander, Charlotte Clark, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Her former husband and father of her children, Chris Alexander; his parents, Clarence and Debbie Alexander; brother-in law, Josh (Bethany) Alexander and their entire family are also mourning her loss.

She also leaves behind her soulmate, RJ Durrette, and lifelong friends, Michelle Swisher and Joe Thomas, who brought joy to Jenny every day they shared together.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Bridge Christian Church, 1275 Goose Creek Road, Fishersville, with Pastor Jeff Griffith officiating.
