Keith Evan Cox

Keith Evan Cox, 47, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Tuesday January 29, 2013 as a result of injuries sustained in an accident.

Mr. Cox was born on October 15, 1965 in Waynesboro, and was a son of the late James Dean Cox, and surviving Judith Marie (Robertson) Cox. He attended Sand Springs Baptist Church for many years. Keith enjoyed working on his moped and small engines of all types. He loved fishing and Lynyrd Skynyrd music. Keith also took care of his grandmother, Virgie Cox.

In addition to his mother and grandmother, Mr. Cox is survived by two daughters, Crystal Dawn Cox and Tiffany Marie Cox, both of Lyndhurst; a fiancée Michelle Dawn Yoder; three brothers, Robert Steven Wallace of Verona, Tracy Lee Wallace of Waynesboro, James Dean Cox II of Lyndhurst; a sister, Michelle Cox “Musha” Murray of West Augusta; three grandchildren, Jaden Arianna Washington, Denaija Monique Holtz, Ryleigh Marie Rucker; numerous nieces and nephews; and his ex-wife, Lori Ann Cox. He was preceded in death by a great-grandmother, Lillian Robertson; his paternal grandfather, J.D. Cox; a brother, Jeffrey Allan (Jeffro) Wallace; two aunts, Susan Sears and Geraldine Marie Glendye; an uncle, Harold Lee Cox, Sr., and a niece, Laura Mae Wallace.

Funeral services will be held on Monday February 4, 2013 at 1 PM at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Doug Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers for the service will be Jaye Beverlin, Dakota Bozga, Bruce Brooks, Kirk Dixon, Burt Beverlin and Donald Murray.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sand Springs Baptist Church, 2677 Mt. Torrey Rd., Lyndhurst, VA 22952.
