

Born June 2, 1937 in Nelson County, he was the son of the late Meredith Stanley and Eleanor (Massie) Wright. On March 26, 1965, he married the love of his life and best friend Jane Wright. The two shared a blessed union of 48 years together.
Leo was a U.S. veteran having served his country honorably from 1960 until 1964 with the Air Force. He was employed by the former E.I. DuPont where he held various positions until retiring as an environmental technician after 27 years of service. One of the greatest joys in his life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling and fishing when time permitted.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Meredith Stanley Wright, Jr. and Bland Gordon Wright; five sisters, Alta Virginia Pultz, Anne Elaine Clark, Helen Claytor, Antha Campbell and Eleanor Brady.
In addition to his loving wife, survivors include his children, Terry Grow and husband, Edward Grow, II of Waynesboro, Dawn Beasley and husband, Andy of Stuarts Draft, Denise Campbell and husband, Michael of Grottoes and Tracy Wright and wife, Rebecca of Bridgewater; brother, Weldon Wright and wife, Bonnie of Swansboro, NC; grandchildren, Jeremy and Brandon Clark, Haden Grow, Harmony and Landon Beasley, Masen Campbell, Whitney, Chandler, Molly and Samuel Wright; great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Clark; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Jonesboro Baptist Church Cemetery, Roseland, VA with Rev. Pete Campbell officiating. Those that are planning to attend are asked to arrive at the funeral home no later than 12:45 P.M. to go in procession to the graveside. Military honors will be provided at the graveside.
Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Clark, Brandon Clark, Andrew Wright, Stephen Wright, Justin Wright, Larry Claytor and Ralph Claytor.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St.
