

Lillian D. Lawler passed away on May 16, 2011, just one day shy of her 83rd birthday, following a brief illness. She was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Andover, NJ for the past 14 years. Her husband and one true love, Frank A. Lawler, passed away in 1995, after 44 years of marriage.
She is survived by her sister Alice Balashek of Millington, NJ and five daughters and their families; Susan and John Lysek of Port Murray, NJ, Peggy and Steve Christie of Sarasota, FL, Jeanne and Don Hashagen of Waynesboro, VA, Anne and Jim Hall of Waynesboro, VA, and Katie and Dana Michael of Andover, NJ. Grandchildren include Frank, Jackie, Ben and Joe LeClair of Port Murray, Karen Christie of Sarasota, Jennifer Berry and husband Matt of Bluemont, VA, Scott Hashagen and wife Amanda of Waynesboro and Kristin Hashagen of Waynesboro, Brian Hall and wife HeeJea, of Chesapeake, VA, Lisa Hall of Chesapeake and Sean, Leigh, and Nolen Michael of Andover. Great grandchildren include Ava and Kaden Hashagen of Waynesboro and Hagen Berry of Bluemont.
She was predeceased by her sister Irene Eldridge of Sparta, NJ and four grandchildren; Patrick, Leslie, Sean and Emily Christie of Sarasota.
Lillian was a devoted wife and mother. Her green thumb was legendary wherever she lived; Denville, NJ, Bath, ME and Andover. Prior to becoming a homemaker, she worked for the NJ Brewers Association. She volunteered at the Maine Maritime Museum, the VNA of Somerset Hills, and Newton Hospital.

To celebrate her life, the family will receive friends at her daughter’s home, 123 Creek Road, Andover, NJ 07821,on Saturday, June 4, 2011, from 2:00 p.m.
