Mary Orlando Calandra

She was born on December 31, 1917 in New York, daughter of the late Joseph and Eugenia Russo Orlando.

Mrs. Calandra was a member of the West Waynesboro Church of Christ and enjoyed going to the Moose Senior Bingo on Tuesdays.

In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Calandra and a sister, Irene Johns.

Survivors include one son, Robert Adams of Waynesboro; two daughters, Nancy Adams of Waynesboro and Alice Estes of Crimora; one brother, Vince Orlando of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Peter and Greg Lafferty, Kevin and Travis Adams, Jill Ashe, Astar Wallis, Jacob Wakefield and Laurel Adams-Estes; and twelve great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 West Main Street, with Phillip Forehand officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Peter and Greg Lafferty, Kevin and Travis Adams, Jacob Wakefield, Travis Ashe, and Matt Wallis.
