

Born June 26, 1916 in Augusta County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Dixon) Baker. In August of 1934 she married the love of her life, Ishmael Thomas Thacker in Hagerstown, MD.
Mrs. Thacker was a faithful member of Glovier United Methodist Church approximately 50 years. She joined TOPS on May 23, 1975 and was the oldest member of the TOPS VA 205, Fishersville Chapter. Working as a babysitter for 55 years, many friends and family members will remember her as someone who helped raised their children and three generations of grandchildren with love and tenderness.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ishmael Thacker; son, Charles Wayne Thacker; 12 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her loving children, Jerry Thacker and wife, Carlene of Maine, Ronald Thacker and wife, Laurie of Waynesboro and Donna (Thacker) Summers and husband, Ray of Waynesboro; sister, Lelia Bosserman of Waynesboro; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Following a private burial, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Glovier United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Wray Sherman and Pastor Charles Wiest officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lillie’s name to Glovier United Methodist Church, 688 Highland Avenue, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
