Melissa Darlene Shiflett

Melissa Darlene Shiflett, 45, of Waynesboro, passed away on Thursday December 20, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Shiflett was born on May 1, 1967 and was a daughter of the late Ronald and Elizabeth (Campbell) Cox Sr. She worked as an inside Sales Representative for Ntelos. Melissa enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Her greatest love was her grandson, Damien. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

Melissa is survived by a son, Tyler Shiflett of Waynesboro; a daughter, Kristina Via of Waynesboro; a brother, Ronald Cox Jr., of Staunton; two sisters, Angela Branch of Greenville, and Laura Branch of Crimora; grandson, Damien Lee King; grandparents, Clarence and Helen Coeyman; two nieces, and four nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11 AM at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Mary Pysell officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park. The Shiflett family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 pm at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
