

Michael was born in El Paso, TX on October 26, 1952. Michael was adopted and raised by Robert L. Mason and Dorothy V. Sager. Michael spent several years as the co-owner of D&D Drain and Sewer Service, retired from Mastic, and for 14 years, worked as an LPN at Western State Hospital in Staunton. In his spare time, Michael loved spending time outdoors, enjoyed travel, going on cruises, and especially visiting beaches. He was a racing fanatic, closely following NASCAR and visiting many of the tracks over the years. He also adored his pets, especially his dogs, Tara and Buck. Most importantly, Michael loved his family.
Michael was preceded in death by his adoptive parents.
Michael is survived by his wife, Tanya Mason of Waynesboro; his daughters, Amanda Marsh of Waynesboro, and Dorinda Williams and fiancé Justin Beard of Greenville. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Holly Wilson and fiancé Travis Booth of Staunton and stepson Caleb Scott of Richmond. In addition, Michael is survived by his grandchildren, Cameron Marsh, Haze Williams, and Carrington Williams; as well as step grandchildren, Haley Wilson, Tyler Booth, and Jaxon Booth; his special friend, Dianne Connor; extended family, Chris Rush, Melissa Lundsford, Jayne Shifflett, Douglas Shifflett, Bethany Supinger; and his beloved feline sidekick, Asia.
Additionally, in 2018, after many years of searching, Michael was able to locate his birth siblings. He is survived by brothers, Lorenzo Reyes and fiancé Adam of Thousand Palms, CA, Juan Reyes and wife Kathy of Albuquerque, NM, Robert Reyes of Las Cruces, NM; sisters, Glorya Rodriquez and husband Edward of Glendora, CA, and Sylvia Reyes of Cathedral City, CA, and sister-in-law, Ruby Reyes of Palm Desert, CA. Preceding him in death were his birth mother, Soledad Reyes; and his brothers, Mike Reyes and Ruben Reyes.
A celebration of life service will be conducted on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bridge Christian Church with Pastor Stacey Burkholder officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM at Bridge Christian Church.
