

Myra was born in Georgia to Roy Huby Turner and Myrtle (Vick) Turner on December 30th, 1941. She worked for many years as the Office Manager of a refrigerated warehouse, and also traveled extensively as a Quality Inspector when she lived in Texas.
Mrya will be remembered as a voracious reader, and someone who deeply loved and valued her friends. She had a unique opportunity to live all over the country, spending time in Virginia, Georgia, Texas, Indiana and North Carolina.
Myra is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her son, Roy Jamison (Corina Cason) of Virginia Beach; a grandson, Christopher Jamison and wife, Brianne of Waynesboro; a great-granddaughter, Ava Jamison; and cousin Pat Herring of Georgia. In addition, she is survived by her best friend and caretaker, Diane Coley.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral homes on Friday, August 4th, 2023 at 10:00AM with Chaplain Mike Nay officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Myra’s name to the SPCA or to Amal Animal Rescue Foundation Inc. at P.O. Box 604, Shannon, GA 30172.
The family would like to extend a special thank you and acknowledgement to the staff of both AmeriCare Plus and Intrepid Hospice for their outstanding work and care for Myra.
