Robert "Bobby" Griffith Henderson

He was born on Sunday, May 26, 1963, in Waynesboro, son of Daisy Hughes Henderson and the late Windom C. Henderson, Sr.

He was a member of First Christian Church of Waynesboro. Bobby enjoyed woodworking, cross-stitching, gardening, and working outside. He was a big NASCAR fan and was devoted to his parents and his family. Bobby was thankful for everyone’s prayers and support, especially Dr. Carpenter at UVA.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Windom C. Henderson, Jr. of Lyndhurst, Deborah H. Hatfield of Crimora, Susan H. Truslow of Waynesboro, and Gail Hundley of Stuarts Draft. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind pet companions, Tiger and Smoky.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Beech Grove Christian Church Cemetery, with Pastor John Hamric officiating.

Pallbearers will be Bobby’s brothers-in-law and nephews.

Friends are invited to visit at Bobby’s residence.
