Russell Thomas "Tucky" Pegler

Russell Thomas “Tucky” Pegler, 84, of Stuarts Draft, Va., went to be with the Lord June 28, 2019 at Augusta Medical. He was born in Larchmont, Pa to William and Ruth Pegler. He is survived by his wife of almost 25 years, Carol Jean Pegler; a daughter, Chris Coutcher (Dale Shaneyfelt); a son, Russell Scott Pegler (Joetta); and son-in-law, Oliver (Ollie) Pluntke; three stepsons, Jeff (Karen), Kirk (Belinda), and Randy (Vicki) Rogerson; 13 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; and a brother, Carl Edward Pegler, of Fl. In addition to his parents, Russ was preceded in death by his daughter, Michele (Mickie) Pluntke; a brother, Billy Pegler; and a stepbrother, Ed Stecker. Russ was a Veteran of the US Army and Marines. After serving his country he was a Real Estate Broker for 30 years in the Metropolitan area. He was a model train enthusiast (HO scale) and loved to talk and share jokes with everyone. A memorial service will be held on July 12, 2019 at Waynesboro Mennonite Church, 1801 Monroe St. Waynesboro, Va, with family receiving friends from 10:00am to 11:15am followed by a 15 minute break, (11:15am to 11:30am). Services will be at 11:30am to 12:30pm followed by a luncheon.
