

Ryan was a Waynesboro High School graduate, Class of 2011. He also received a carpentry degree from Valley Career Technology Center. Known by his family for being a “Little Nerd,” Ryan greatly enjoyed playing video games, and you could often find him at the Dragon’s Hoard in Staunton playing his favorite board game, Pathfinder. Ryan also was a Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! Trainer. He greatly enjoyed being out in nature hiking and camping. Other than playing his games, one of Ryan’s great passions in life was going out to eat with his family and friends. Ryan will be remembered for being a jokester and always having a smile on his face.
Ryan is greeted in Heaven by his maternal grandfather, Morrison Madison and his niece, Cassie Price. Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Sherry Bowles and her partner, C.W. Walters; father, Randy Bowles and his wife, Jeanne; siblings, Evan Bowles, Rachel Laurin, and Chelsea Bowles and her partner, Ryan Robinson; paternal Grandparents, Charles and Jean Bowles; maternal grandmother, Barbara Cox; nephews, Colton Laurin and Caleb Irvin; a niece, Zoey Robinson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family. Ryan also leaves behind his best friend, Erin Greene.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Bridge Christian Church, 1275 Goose Creek Rd. Fishersville, VA 22939, with Pastor Todd Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Dwight Wilson, Kasey Bowles, Matt Clark, Dimitri Turner, Ryan Robinson, and Michael Kelly.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7,2016 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
Memorial donations may be made in Ryan’s memory to the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center, P.O. Box 800334, Charlottesville, VA 22908, and/ or the MaDee Project, PO Box 850, Fishersville, VA 22939.
