Taylor Alexander Layman

He was born on January 27, 2011, the son of Matthew Fitzgerald Layman and Debra Jean Ayers.

He was always happy, enjoyed playing in the water, learning to stand, and loved attention.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfather, Hunter G. Fitzgerald, an aunt, Allison Ayers and uncle, Stephen Ayers.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his paternal grandparents, James R. and Sheila Layman, maternal grandparents, Steve and Linda Ayers, great-paternal grandmother, Ellen Fitzgerald, great maternal grandmother, Mary Helen Ayers, great-maternal grandparents, Roy and Florence Ayers, four aunts, Sarah Layman, Laura Ayers, Mary Beth Thompson, Joanna Vander-Yacht, as well as a number of great aunts, great uncles and cousins.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2011, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. Dr. Jon Lovelady.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. this evening, Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 West Main Street.
