Thelma "Tudy" Bruce

Thelma “Tudy” Mae Bruce, 72, of 1710 Eastside Highway, Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Augusta Health. She was born December 6, 1943, a daughter of the late Edward J. and Anna Majewel Doyle Harris.

Thelma was a homemaker and a member of Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren of Crimora.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Harris and Tracey Harris.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Otho N. Bruce; a son, Victor N. Bruce and his wife, Paula of Stuarts Draft; two daughters, Karen M. Campbell and her husband, Frankie of Staunton, Sandra K. Moats and her husband, Scotty of Crimora; two brothers, Leon Harris of Waynesboro, James Harris of Staunton; six grandchildren, Marsha Duff, Tyler Campbell, Katie Campbell, Natasha Talley, Dakota Moats, Brittney Wood; three great-grandchildren, Marisa Duff, Malaki Talley and Braxton Wood.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Forest Chapel Church of the Brethren, 36 Crimora Mine Rd, Crimora, VA 24431,with Pastors David Stewart and Frankie Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Troy Ponton, Tommy Ponton, Chris Drumheller, Dakota Moats, Tyler Campbell and Toby Harris.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
