We will always be so grateful and thankful for Mama Martin who always shared her Sunday family dinners with us during our time as Pastors at Lynside.  She always had room for two more at her table.  We loved her dearly and all the extended family who welcomed these two Yankees into the family at Lynside.  Those were some of the best and most memorable years of our lives.  I wish we could be there to see you all and celebrate Mama's Homegoing.

My earliest memories of Aunt Viola go back to visiting her and Uncle Ralph and Family in Waynesboro.  What fun visits we had and yes, as one other person shared, she was a force to reckon with!

When Aunt Viola spoke, you would hear Uncle Ralph say, “Yes, Dear!” You could tell that he loved her dearly.  I wonder how many times he has said that since their reunion in heaven?

I will miss talking to her by phone ( I live in Texas.) and I will really miss being able to share prayer needs with her. She was quite a prayer warrior.

I love you Granny.  My words are not enough to express that.  No one could possibly understand what you and Pops both mean to me.  Life will never be the same.  This is the "new normal" I never wanted to face.  Ours' was a special bond.  I cannot wait to see you again in our Heavenly home.  Your home on Earth was a sample of Heaven.  I cannot imagine what is waiting for us.  Your love will be enough to sustain me until we meet again.  Thank you for the Christ you shared with me and the faith you helped instill in me. Because my father called her "Sis", she was endeared to us as "Aunt Sis". She was a force to be reckoned with and the most caring and thoughtful person you would ever meet. I will always remember Christmas dinners at her home.... her delicious food, family packed in all around. Good times.  She was quite a lady. I will miss her and her spunk.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Martin; one sister, Ethel Pifer.
Survivors include two sons, Ralph Larry Martin and friend, Carol of Baltimore, Maryland, Joseph C. Martin and wife, Denise of Waynesboro; four daughters, Ruby C. Bradfield and husband, Gerald of Waynesboro, Betty J. Davis and husband, Richard of Waynesboro, Mary M. Davis of Waynesboro, Judy M. McGann and husband, Gary of Lyndhurst; one brother, Charles G. Boppe and wife, Alice of Waynesboro; one sister, Esther Arnold and husband, Earl of Lyndhurst; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
