William Glen Griffin

William Glen Griffin, 70, of Waynesboro passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Augusta Health. Born August 27, 1948 in Stuarts Draft, he was the son of the late Glen Brooks and Eula (Dameron) Griffin. Prior to retirement, William worked for Genicom for over 20 years and in more recent years had worked for IDM Trucking, Inc. for 15 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking for family and friends and tending to his flower gardens. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Charles Edward Griffin. Survivors include his three daughters, Renee Reed and husband, Amos of Forest Hill, WV, Stormy Sackett of Stuarts Draft and Wendy Griffin and her fiancé, Jamie Childress of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren, Sarah Griffin, Julia Reed, Hermie Hansford, Angel Reed, Thunder Griffin and wife, Karly, Mary-Rayne Sackett and Zepher Sackett; great grandchildren, Dakoka-Wade Pettrey, Waylon Mann, Chloe Grimmett, Elijah Reed, Serenity Reed, Sydney-Ann Hansford, Dixie Hansford, Paisley Hansford, Elijah, and one soon to be born great-granddaughter; sister, Hermie Ward and husband, Bill of Waynesboro; brother, Carlton Griffin of Staunton; beloved ex-wife, Yvonne Holmes; a number of nieces and nephews; and his cat, Puss. Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro.
