Nécrologie de Wilson Oma Eutsler
Wilson Oma Eutsler’s blessed time on Earth ended on the evening of February 26th at Augusta Health ICU. Surrounded by a room full of loved ones, he took his last breath at 6:01 pm. A lifelong resident of the valley, he was born on March 31st, 1945 at Waynesboro Community Hospital, beloved son of Gaston Oma Eutsler and Wynona Lena (Henderson) Eutsler, both of whom left this world in 1986 and 2002 respectively. He was also preceded in death (2009) by his role model and eldest brother, Arlen Dennett Eutsler as well as a dear cousin, Robert Henderson (2017). However; his life was tragically altered in 2015, when his baby girl, Ginger Rae (Eutsler) Burnette, unexpectedly expired at the age of 42. This, most definitely, took a great toll on his heart and health. Although Wilson had not been able to physically attend church recently, he never missed watching SBN; he was a member of the Waynesboro Church of Christ. A very patriotic citizen he was, one who proudly served his country as a soldier in the United States Army. He became a retiree (against his will) in 2010, being known at both workplaces: Hollister and the City of Waynesboro, as a man of extraordinary work ethics. He was a registered Maintenance Mechanic with Virginia Apprenticeship, a devoted lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and a member of the Moose for many decades. His number one hobby was hunting, closely followed by his passion for collecting memorabilia. He was also an avid sports fan, very keen on sports history. Those left here on Earth to always remember and cherish his memories include his daughter, Cynthia (Eutsler) Moleiro who always tried to make him proud, and her husband, Sergio Moleiro, who says, and always will, that he has the best father-in-law in the world. He leaves behind his ex-wife and friend, whom he always loved and respected till his last breath-the mother of his children-Bertha (Glass) Rawley. His legacy left behind include 4 grandchildren: Titiana Arleandra Moleiro(Ramiro Juarez), who always received praises for her extraordinary dedication towards everything; his number one to talk sports with, and his favorite ball player, Andrew Manuel Moleiro (Stephanie Kennedy); the light of his eyes and the joy of his life-the one who always made him smile, PawPaw’s girl, Amber Renee Burnette (Brandon Brinkley), and the one who held a special place in his heart, the one who gave him happiness by remaining by his side, the son he never had, Dane Allen Burnette (Julianna Doss). He was truly blessed with 7 great-grandchildren: Abbigail, Lillianne, Gabriel, Eliana Sofia, Andrew Jr., Sophia and Mia Marie; he was anxiously awaiting to meet great-grandbaby no. 8 in May. His siblings, 2 girls and 2 boys, now men and women, all of whom in the good, the bad and the ugly have still, in their own unique way, remained connected and maintained a bond. From eldest to youngest; Naomi Hagwood and her husband, Troy Douglas Hagwood, James Wayne Eutsler, Shirley Jane Hewitt, Everett Matthew Eutsler and his wife, Kathy. He leaves behind a special cousin with whom he spent many of his early years, William Barker. Wilson was also an awesome uncle, one that each and every one of his nieces and nephews loved to be around. And as the saying goes, not only blood related means family; he leaves behind his best friend of over 50 years, Roger Glass, along with true unconditional friends Melvin Glass and Eddie Critzer. He will always be remembered by repeatedly saying: “This world is not my home, I’m just passing through.” To honor his memory, and in respect to his wishes, a celebration of life will be officiated by his daughter and family at his home (220 Carolina Avenue) on Sunday, March 4th at 3:00 pm. Any donations can be made in his name to the NRA at donate.nra.org or to the Waynesboro Senior Center Meals on Wheels at MOW, P.O. Box817, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
