Barry N. Kappes, 80, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania passed away at 3:24 PM on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at home. He was born October 16, 1943, in Waynesburg, PA a son of the late Raymond E. Kappes, Sr. and Letha Nelson Kappes. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waynesburg, PA. Barry was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #757 of Waynesburg and B.P.O. Elks Lodge #776 of Washington. Barry was also a member of the James Farrell American Legion Post #330 of Waynesburg and enjoyed golfing. He was a plant manager and shop foreman for an envelope printing company and also worked in California for a chemical company. Surviving are 1 Brother: Raymond E. Kappes, Jr. of San Jose, CA and 2 Nephews: Gregory Kappes and Eran Kappes of San Jose, CA. Deceased is his Sister: Noma Lee Kappes who died at age 4. Friends will be received from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, February 12, 2024 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St. Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers, Director where services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 with Rev. David Lake officiating.
