C. Kenneth Mooney

He was born August 11, 1924 at Waynesburg, a son of the late William Stanford Mooney and Ida Rose Mooney.

He was married to Ruth Ann Mason Mooney who died June 27, 2004

Mr. Mooney was a retired heavy equipment operator and repairman for Anthony Crane Rental and Maxim Crane. He also worked on the family farm at Waynesburg.

He served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was a longtime resident of the Baldwin Whitehall area. He was a member of the Fairall United Methodist Church at Waynesburg and a former member of the Pittsburgh Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Larry Ray Mooney of Baldwin and Mark G. Mooney of Jefferson Hills; one grandson, Patrick Mooney of St. Petersburg, FL; three brothers, John Mooney (Elva) of Washington, Bill Mooney (Jane) of Vermilion, OH, and Charles Mooney of Taylor MI.; and one sister, Mary Ann Filer of Waynesburg.

Deceased are two brothers, Robert Mooney and James Mooney; and two sisters, Alene Luzadder and Helen Husk.

Friends will be received 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 with Rev. Ron Geisler officiating followed by interment at Fairall Cemetery in Whiteley Township.
