Debra Ellen Statler

Debra Ellen Statler, 57 years of age, of Amherst, went to be with her Lord Monday, November 12, 2018, at Twilight Gardens Home in Norwalk following a seventeen month illness.She was born December 1, 1960, in Amherst, OH. A daughter of Richard C. and Marjorie L. Riggs Statler of Amherst.

Debra graduated from Firelands High School and Lorain County Joint Vocational School with the class of 1979. She had lived in Florida, Alaska, Germany, Illinois and Montana before returning to Ohio where she had made her home since 2001.

Her primary focus in life was that of a homemaker. Debra worked in several occupations outside the home, including work as a dental hygienist. She was a member of Henrietta United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included crafts, watching movies and visiting friends.

In addition to her parents she is survived by, her daughter Alice Louise Peters (Mark Ewer) of Illinois; her grandchildren Robert, Christopher, Abigail, Emily and Ryan Lehmann; her sister Dianna Lynn Womer (Steve) of Delaware, Ohio; her nieces Jennifer Marie Marangoni (Don) and their son Steven; Melissa Lynn Schuster (Dan) as well as several aunts and uncles.She was preceded in death by her grandparents John and Edna Statler and Charles and Margaret Riggs.

Friends will be received Friday, November 16, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner/Director 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania 15370 where services will be held on Saturday November 17, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Rev.Jacob Judy officiating.
