

He was born January 15, 1930 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Alvin and Ione Harkins Teagarden.
He was a graduate of Waynesburg High School. After graduation he worked for Bryan’s Dairy in Waynesburg.
He served in the Army in Germany during the Korean War.
In 1957 he married Connie Lucas Teagarden, who survives.
Mr. Teagarden worked as a communications supervisor for the Equitable Gas Company. During his career helped transition the company’s communication system to microwave. He retired after 30 years of service and then worked as a communication consultant for Equitable Gas for two years.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesburg where he had served as an elder.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Patrick and wife Dottie of Benbrook, TX; two daughters, Ione and husband Cliff Coburn of Waynesburg and Nora Corwin and husband Craig of Canonsburg; four grandsons, Patrick Teagarden and his wife, Danielle, Matthew Teagarden and his wife, Taylor, Daniel Corwin, and Benton Corwin; one great-granddaughter, Zoey Teagarden; two sisters-in-law, Rose Lucas and Kate Teagarden both of Waynesburg; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was the last of his immediate family. Deceased are two brothers, Robert and Walter Teagarden, and a sister-in-law, Grace Teagarden.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 19 in the First Presbyterian Church of Waynesburg 169 West College St., Waynesburg, with Rev. William Sukolsky officiating. Inurnment will be in Braddock Cemetery, Graysville. Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, 131 W. 1st St., Waynesburg, PA 15370 or to Donnell House.
