He was born August 12, 1954 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Blaine and Florence Filbey Martin.
Gary served in the United States Navy.
He worked at St. Ann RC Church in Waynesburg as a maintenance person.
Surviving are two sons, joshua (Holly) Martin of Vestaburg and Bryan Martin of the state of Texas; a granddaughter, Keira; two step-grandsons, Calum and Liam; six siblings, Don, Jeff Bruce, Susan, Sandy and Debbie.
Deceased are two brothers, Blaine and Duane.
