Gwendolyn (Kerr) Simpson

Gwendolyn (Gwen) Kerr Simpson, born June 8th, 1970, of Jefferson, PA passed away on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026 a little after 11 pm at Ruby Memorial hospital after a long battle with her illness. Gwen was preceded in death by her late husband Robert Simpson, her father George Kerr, and her mother Shirley Kerr. She is survived by her son Ryan (Sabrina) Simpson of Jefferson, PA, daughter Rayne Simpson of Jefferson, PA, and son Christopher (Tracy) Simpson of Spraggs, Pa. Aside from her kids she is survived by her brother Jeff (Carol) Kerr of Waynesburg, PA and three grandsons Gabriel, Castiel and Oakley. Gwen had a variety of occupations with her longest tenured being a bus driver. She was a bus driver for 29 years before becoming an in-home caregiver. Other notable jobs included hostess and manager at hotels and she ran a family owned sub shop. Gwen had many hobbies and was beloved in many communities. She was very involved with the Waynesburg Moose Lodge 461 and loved cooking and giving back. In her time at the Moose she served as Senior Regent and past senior Regent for Waynesburg Moose 461 amongst other roles. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends up at Big Bear lake campground. Her family was her pride and joy. The family has prepared plans for a memorial service on April 25th, 2026 at the Waynesburg Moose Lodge 461 officiated by Lanfer Simpson. There will be a greeting of friends from 11am-1pm, with her service being held at 1 PM. There will be a dinner at 2 PM in her memory. Everyone is welcome. Gwen would have loved to have everyone in one room celebrating her life. After life care and arrangements were handled by Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc.
