Naomi V. Wood

She was born August 1, 1922 in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late George and Mae Edgar Moore.

On December 26, 1941 she married Charles V. Wood, who passed away December 2, 1979.

Naomi retired from Greene County Memorial Hospital where she worked as a licensed practical nurse for 31 years.

She was a former resident of Ruff Creek and Waynesburg. She lived in Washington since 1990.

She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ruff Creek.

Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Fausak of Vero Beach, FL; two sons, Robert Wood ( Kathy ) of Troy, Texas, and Lonnie Wood ( Patty ) of Scenery Hill; five grandchildren, Deby Henderson, Robert Wood Jr., Robin Karnes, Eric Danley, and Brandon Wood; 5 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Yvonne Frost of Lorain, Ohio; one brother, Earl Moore of Rochester, NY.

Deceased, in addition to her husband, are 3 brothers, Edgar Moore, Robert Moore, and Donald Moore; six sisters, Martha Moore, Mary Delaney , Jane Lewis, Jean Fordyce, Bonnie Wood, and Ruth McMillin; three stepsons, Clyde, Glenn , Donald Moore; three, stepdaughters, Dorothy and Elizabeth Cox, and Evelyn Hackney.
