

She was born November 21, 1935 in Waynesburg daughter of the late Harry and Mildred Blaker Garber.
She graduated from Waynesburg High School as a member of the class of 1954. On February 26, 1955 she married Gerald Anderson who died January 17, 2014.
During her high school years she worked in the Star Restaurant in Waynesburg. She had also worked for the G.C. Murphy Co. and Greenway Manufacturing. Mrs. Anderson also drove special needs students for Dulaney Bus Co.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Waynesburg.
Mrs. Anderson spent the past ten winters in Bradenton, Florida. She loved to sing. Her hobbies were gardening, cross word puzzles, and card games.
Surviving are six children, Daniel W. Anderson (Shelby) of Rochester Mills, Cindy Anderson Foor of Waynesburg, Lora Anderson of Waynesburg, Peggy Katchmark (Greg) of Rices Landing, Mark Anderson (Robin) of Mt. Morris, and Connie Stevens (Chuck) of Mannington, WV; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Also surviving are a brother, Donald Garber (Nancy) of Strongsville, OH; and a sister, Bonnie Chaney of Bryan, OH.
Deceased are five sisters, Mary Porter, Martha Brand, Peg Rinehart, Wilma Jane Garber, and Donna Faye Garber; and a brother Harry W. Garber Jr.
Friends will be received 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St. Waynesburg where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2014 with Rev. John M. Poling officiating followed by interment in Oakmont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice 2183 McClellandtown Rd., Masontown, PA 15461.
