He was born September 24, 1951 in Waynesburg, a son of the late Ralph C. Conklin Sr. and Audrey Jane Foley Conklin.
Bert was a 1970 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School.
He was a self-employed concrete mason all over the county.
Bert was a social member of the American Legion, the VFW, the Eagles and the Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his children, Ann (Bill) Sekely of Pittsburgh, Janet (John) Tedrow of Hampstead, NC, Ryan Scherich of Uniontown, Brian Scherich of Waynesburg, and Tiffany Wolfe of Jefferson; five grandchildren; two brothers, Gary (Michelle) Conklin of Prosperity and Jonathan Conklin of the state of California; a sister, Letha (Kirk) Zollars of Carmichaels; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Mathlye Smith and Tina Martin.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Waynesburg V.F.W., Post #4793, 445 E. Lincoln Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Condolences may be expressed online at www.behmfh.com.
