Shirley J. Martin, age 83, of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania passed away at 12:23 AM on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at home after a long battle with dementia. She was born on December 5, 1940 in Waynesburg, PA, a daughter of the late Charles Fonner and Isabelle Smith Fonner. Shirley was an avid animal lover and gardener. She loved cooking, baking and spending time with her family. She was a homemaker. Her Husband: Cecil Kenneth Martin died December 9, 2018. Surviving are 1 Son: Greg Martin of Waynesburg, PA, 1 Daughter: Teresa J. Orum of Waynesburg, PA, 3 Grandchildren: Angela E. (Jeremy) Morris, Alisha (Nick) Mattei and Dalton Martin, 3 Great-Grandchildren: Izzy and Rylee Morris, Elaina Mattei, 1 Sister: Wilma Malanosky of Scenery Hill, PA, 1 Sister-In-Law: Opal Fonner and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are 2 Brothers: Fredrick Fonner and Charles Fonner, Jr. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, August 5, 2024 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St., Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers, Director where her service will be held at 1:00 pm with Rev. Ricky Croyle officiating.
