She was born June 4, 1937 in Jefferson, a daughter of the late William and Georgia Ann Bradley Moore.
She was a 1957 graduate of Jefferson High School.
Wilma was a retired cafeteria worker for the Jefferson-Morgan High School. She was a former resident of Jefferson, where she was a member of the Jefferson Baptist Church. She had resided in Waynesburg since 2003.
Wilma had served on board of trustees of the Greene County Housing Authority. She had also served on the board of the Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the Cherry Door, the hospital the lobby shop, and the Open Arms Drop-in Center. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 888 in Waynesburg and the Waynesburg Library Club. Her hobbies were crocheting, reading, and solving crossword puzzles.
Surviving are a son, James S. Stockdale (Barbara L.) of Jefferson; a daughter, Holly Lynn Stockdale; three grandchildren, Joshua J. Stockdale, Nicholas Anthony Dayich, and Annie Elizabeth Dayich; one brother, Lloyd Moore (Lana) of Roanoke, VA; a brother-in-law, Chuck Magda of Enola; a sister-in-law, Shirley Moore of Roanoke, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Robert Dale Stockdale; 3 brothers, Roy Moore, Wilbur ”Buck” Moore, and Paul Moore; and 3 sisters, Genevieve Moyer, Mary Frances Magda, and Margaret Ward.
