Waynesville-Charles Junior Goodson, 88 passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021. Junior was born in Haywood County on July 28, 1933, to the late John Fannon and Lucy Inman Goodson. Junior loved gardening, fishing and tinkering with his tools. He will be remembered for always caring for his family.
In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by, his wife, Irene Goodson; his son, Ricky Dean Goodson; 1 brother and 6 sisters.
Junior is survived by daughters, Barbara Stiles (Doug), Patricia Ensley, and Cynthia G. Ramsey (Gary); sister, Shirley Shuler Gates; 15 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great-grandchildren; and his special fur babies, Bity and Bo.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 22, at Green Hill Cemetery, with the Reverend Charlie Creasman officiating.
