Donald Dwight Kreider

“Loving Husband, Father” Maggie Valley-Donald D. Kreider, age 74, passed away on June 15, 2014, at Mission Hospital. He was born in Seville, Ohio, on July 8, 1939 to the late Harold and Neva Hewit Kreider. Don enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels and at the Lake Junaluska Golf Course. He also loved gardening, working in his yard, and taking his dog Dublin on golf cart runs through the neighborhood. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by one sister, Greta Roth. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 31 years, Lolly Kreider; two daughters, Christine Harris, and Ellen Leverett; six grandchildren, Lindsay, Lacey, Kelsey, Maggie, Manning, and Carson; sister Geneva Shaw; and nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Don’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Peachtree United Methodist Church with the Reverend Martha Buff-Welch officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels at 157 Paragon Parkway, Suite 800, Clyde, NC 28721.
