Donald "Don" Richard Moore, Sr., age 94, of Waynesville, NC passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Don was born December 27, 1927 in Lake Geneva, WI to the late Fred and Alma Moore.
Don was a retired commercial farmer and tax assessor in Florida and real estate broker in Florida and North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Sawyer Moore and grandson, Daniel Martin Moore.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Marjorie Sherlin Moore; sons, Donald R. (Darla Reece) Moore, Jr. and William F. Moore; daughter, Anita (Terry) Painter; grandchildren, Janet Burns, Rebecca Thomason, Ann Moore, Caden Painter and Catryn Miller; eleven great grandchildren; and nine great great grandchildren.
Graveside services for Don will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 25, 2022 at Garrett Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating.
