Ella Mae Lanning age 86 of Waynesville, NC passed away on December 7, 2025, She was born in Jackson County, NC on October 20, 1939 to the late Delos Dexter and Myrtle Massingale Farmer.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Lanning; siblings, Mac Farmer, James Farmer, Lon Farmer, Ruby Mathis, Bonnie Hyatt, Vergie Hyatt
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Ellen Queen and Etta McCall of Sylva, NC, and Annie V. Thompson of Derrington, WA.
Funeral services for Ella Mae will be held at 1 PM Friday, December 12, 2025 at Garrett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12 PM to 1 PM on Friday prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow service at Rocky Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
