Grace M. (Symes) Errico

Grace M. (Symes) Errico passed from this world into the next on Thursday, February 17th, 2022 in Asheville, NC. She was born on July 1, 1929, in Irvington, New Jersey, to the late Edwin David Symes and Grace May Courtney. Grace was married for 69 years to the love of her life, Joe. Due to Joe’s job, they moved frequently and lived in Delaware, Illinois, Florida and Texas before returning to Florida to enjoy a long retirement. Grace was involved in volunteer organizations in the communities where they resided. In Texas, she was a docent at the Sam Rayburn House State Historic Site and Library. She loved playing bridge with friends everywhere they lived. An avid reader, Grace also enjoyed sewing and even dabbled in oil painting and cake decorating. She had a beautiful smile, made friends easily and loved to socialize.

Grace is preceded in death by 4 brothers, David Symes, Edwin Symes, Robert Wilson and Donald Wilson. She is survived by her son, Thomas Joseph Errico (Silvia) of Tampa, FL; her daughter, Ellen Errico Schon (Ron) of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Eric Schon, Corey Schon and Adrian Errico, and three great-grandchildren.
