Jane Elizabeth Meadows

Spring Creek Community-Jane Elizabeth Meadows, 93, died on July 15, 2015, at her residence. Jane was born in the Spring Creek Community on November 17, 1921, to the late Henry and Carrie Treadway Messer. Jane was an “industrious woman” who enjoyed sitting on the porch, eating out, and attending family gatherings. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. Jane was hard working and was a lifelong resident of Spring Creek. She loved her church, gardening, but more especially her family. Jane will be remembered as being fun loving and being kind to her neighbors. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband Hayden Callie Meadows; one brother; three sisters; granddaughter, Leanna Jane Meadows; grandson, Hayden Gray Meadows; and great-grandsons, Zachary Jacob Sutton and Hayden Caleb Sutton. Jane is survived by two sons, Dwight Meadows (Diana) and Rex Meadows (Redena); three daughters, Virginia Justice (Joe), Linda Plemmons (Von), and Ricky Jo Rogers (Stevie); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Dorothy Warren and Lola Ferguson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 19, at Liberty Baptist Church with the Reverends Greg Warren, Joseph Huntsinger, Matthew Sams, and Jeffery Moore officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Spring Creek.
