Buncombe, Janet Melissa Gates, 61, passed away on Wednesday January 20, 2021 at Mission Memorial Hospital. Born on January 23, 1959 to the late Dale and Joan Coffee Gates. Janet enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, and being with her family.
Janet is preceded in death by her daughters, Melissa Ann Foster and Melanie Lynn Foster, her granddaughter Tessia Raeann Plemmons, and her sister Kathy Gates.
She is survived by her son Robbie Foster (Dana), granddaughters Andrea Baird, Autumn Bennett (Jessie), Haili Baird, Macy Foster, Emma Foster, Desiree Foster, and 4 great grandchildren.
Family has decided to have a Celebration of Life at a later date due to Covid.
